19th Annual Social Gathering & Information day

The Alpha-1 UK Support Group has historically held our Annual Social Gathering & Information Day in the month of September, sadly the COVID pandemic meant our last meeting was in 2019. We are delighted to be hosting our 19th annual event once again this year and very much look forward to welcoming our members old and new.

As usual we will have an impressive line-up of speakers, including expert alpha-1 clinicians and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry with an active interest in developing therapies for alpha-1. 

Our annual event is the largest gathering of Alphas and their families in the UK, and many members take the opportunity to have a long weekend away with some arriving on the Thursday and leaving on the Monday. It is an ideal opportunity to catch up and socialise with friends old and new and have a thoroughly good time.

We will also be holding the Charity Annual General Meeting on Sunday morning 24th September at 10:00 am, and you are warmly invited and encouraged to attend and be proactive in helping shape our year ahead.

THE VENUE

Situated nearby Drayton Water, Mercure Daventry Court Hotel is a stylish and modern 4-star hotel based in a Saxon market town. Nestled within picturesque grounds and boasting a delightful inner courtyard, this hotel is the ideal location to relax and escape. The on-site wellness centre also comes equipped with an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a solarium and a fitness centre.

We have twin/double/executive and family rooms reserved on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd September, private dining three course evening meals are available on both Friday and Saturday nights.

It is also possible join us for dinner without staying overnight. 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The Alpha-1 UK Support Group appreciates that travelling to our annual events can prove expensive for some of our members we therefore offer financial assistance to those who would otherwise be unable to attend. Please contact us on info@alpha1.org.uk if you would like to apply for assistance.

If you know you are not registered on our database you can register at the link below and we will send an email so you can register to attend. All details regarding hotel accommodation and evening meals are included in the online registration system.
